Of course liberals say guns don't save lives, so they'll probably claim it didn't happen or just ignore it because no one was shot. Probably a good thing the criminal didn't get shot and killed the left would use it as one more "gun violence" statistic.
"Don't bother looking for this story on CNN or MSNBC." Or ABC, CBS, NBC or CNN. They NEVER report on such stories.

About 40 stories per page on 63 pages.

There are other sites also.

How many of these have made it on any of the above stations?

A quick google shows that the first article in your link (Rutland clerk) has been reported on ABC, NBC,CBS .....

The Idaho incident (this post) cannot be verified and was not reported to police. Hence the "Man says concealed weapon saved his life" and why this "story" is not national "news".

Why would a concealed handgun owner lie and make up a story like this? Does this guy work for the IRS?

My suspicion is that, at most, he got spooked by a guy asking for money and in the retelling to friends and family it became a life and death situation where the beggar was a killer and, if not for his heroic actions, he was going to be killed and his daughter kidnapped.

Do you suspect that he called the local media to push this made up story too?

I don't think you are arguing with liberals, just math majors. Violent crime in 2012 is about 396 per 100,000 or .3% (not to be confused with 3%) versus the fact that if you have a gun in your home you are 30x more likely to die by a firearm (Guns in the Home and Risk of a Violent Death in the Home: Findings from a National Study

Its not a liberal. . but a math thing.

Now with that said. . you can have a gun for other reasons than self defense. But having a gun for self defense is a more harm than good item.

also 500 to 900 in fees for the weapon and regulation. . .at a 0.3% chance of being assaulted and no guarantee the gun will actually help you in the assault (could easily make things worse). . .it just doesn't make a lot of sense.

For every story you post here about a man maybe. . .just maybe defending himself (if its true, if its realistic) you have a lot more stories of harm

and the saddest story, guy did nothing wrong but visit a friend and now the son lives with it.

We aren't arguing with anyone, we're simply pointing out that people in favor of never ending gun control are typically wrong, ignorant or both.

If violent crime in the US is only .3% (not to be confused with 3%) and you obviously feel that is a very small number then why do you want to increase gun control to prevent such a small amount of crime? If violent crime of all types continues to drop as more and more guns are sold in this country why are you trying to prevent people from purchasing some of the most efficient and effective means of protecting themselves?

Nobody is forcing you to own or purchase a gun, why can't you stay out of other people's business?

Obviously concealed weapons can prevent crime. We have a cultural problem involving crime and violence in this country that concealed carry cannot prevent, and I think possessing guns for self defense is part of the problem.

Just imagine how many more deranged gun owners are there seeking fame.
And in most such cases, firing your concealed gun will mostly lead to unintended casualties. Can you tell who the shooter is in a crowded mall?
BTW, is it only a coincidence that no other nation (including China, Russia and India) suffer from so many crazy shootings?

really? then why are liberals not screaming for the complete banning of all vehicles including government vehicles? vehicles kill more people in the USA than all the firearms in the USA does, each and every year.
