"They'll put you back in chains"
-- Joe Biden

Democrat politicians have used all sorts of scare tactics about the alleged intent of the Republican Party in order to keep black Americans from straying. Because these tactics seem to be working, I have come to believe that maybe the majority of black Americans are not aware that The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was voted into law.

Everything that the Democrats claim that Republicans intend to do to black Americans is outlawed in The Civil Rights Act .

Are my fellow black American that uninformed that they can be so easily manipulated into thinking that their rights can be taken away by the election of one politician (i.e. McDaniel)?

Since Democrats support President Obama changing laws through executive order, they probably wrongly assume that Republicans are just as corrupt and would do the same thing.

Sad but true.

Most don't look deeper than the thin skin of the actual reporting/ information available of goings on, backgrounds, and ideology of those seeking to be elected for one.

A President is to be our Executive.

Not our Ruler, not our Savior, not our "Knows all, Sees all".

Certainly not our Owner/ Lord & Master which it is starting to feel like.

If Republicans were able to fully have their way, the CRA wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on.

As it is you wanted a Mississippi Tea Party remember to get a Senate seat AFTER knowing that he's a supporter of neo-Confederate groups, openly espouses the Rebel Flag, and threatened to not pay his taxes if reparations were rewarded to blacks ...as if such a thing were even possible.

good points. And you had a Democrat US house member in Chicago say that turkeys should lead turkeys, and chickens should lead chickens, i.e. blacks should rally behind black politicians and whites behind whites. We are moving backwards from Aug. 28. 1963. not forwards. Our current politics is generating division much like a cow generates manure. I wonder where it will lead us....

In fact, a greater percentage of Republicans, in both the House and Senate, voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act, than the percentage of Democrats.
