Actually, they are mad that Cochran lied to people in predominately democrat neighborhoods, falsely claiming that the TEA party were racists, trying to prevent people from voting, in order for Cochran to coax these people into voting for him.

Black voters know a Tea Partier in the Senate will not represent their interests. Democrats don't normally win in Mississippi, so they will probably be stuck with a Republican no matter what. They exercised their right to try to get the best representation in Washington they could. Voting against the candidate they perceive as being hostile to them is totally within their rights.
