Is interest defined only by whether or not games are broadcast? I'd say that the number of American families who get up early every Saturday morning to play is a pretty good indicator of interest.

What!? Ann Coulter discourages an alternative to getting a concussion through which you can lose brain cells? Who'da thunk it!?

Yes, in America, it's a kid's game that is invariably grown out of. You just made Coulter's point.

I do not think randomparent made Biatch Coulter's point at all! Coulter didn't say soccer is a kid's game; she said it's "Un-American". Why anyone pays her to write that tripe is beyond me.

Why? It gets lots of attention such as here. Her comment was a success, her name is mentioned all over the place, some are amused.

I wouldn't be surprised if some conservatives begin to pull their kids out of soccer leagues. Wouldn't want the little ones to become liberals, you know. Ann Coulter is still a hero to many on the right. They are likely to be influenced by her statements.

Want to start a stampede around here?

Go to a soccer field and shout "LA MIGRA!"

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see where she called it "un-American". Can you show me where she said that please?

Yes, soccer sucks. That's why we ignore it.
The point it is she is trying to paint Soccer as a liberal sport. Yet pro football, America's most loved sport is far from conservative. There are far more left leaning Football players then there are right leaning. She also insinuates that because it is foreign it is un-American. Wonder what she thinks of Ice Hockey?

Ann Coulter is extreme right wing, and extreme right wing athletes are very rare. The last one I can think of was Jon Rocker.
