It IS boring.

I used to say if I wanted to watch someone spit and fiddle with their nuts I would watch my husband......then he stopped chewing tobacco.

True. Best guys usually play soccer as kids then move on to other sports.........now not so much for scholarship money but they are just funner to play. Not many get scholarships in any sport only the best of the best. IMO I'd rather be knocking heads or shooting hoops than heading a ball. So go most kids in the US. It is what it is. Can't change reality.

Nah, basketball all the way for me. It was invented here in the U.S. (if that matters to ya), there are very few serious incidents, you get to see your little feuds like you do in other sports, and I don't ever have to sit in the sweltering heat or freezing cold just to watch the damn game! I also think it's a good balance between the requirement for physical and mental strengths.
What a dumb post. You don't like to sit and watch then don't. Yes I do love college bball......but I love baseball and football too. Your whole attack on "American sport" is lame. Don't like it don't watch. Simple stuff. Don't try to denigrate the sport though or the fans who watch.

Great to play though. I played em all back in the day and always loved baseball. It is a chore to watch a whole game though. Nice to have the DVR to forward......lol

I used to spit on the plate when the ump made a bad strike call. Got tossed a few times.

What makes it "dumb", in your opinion? Did I say something that was incorrect? If so, what?

I think we have established that much already. What was the point of this statement?

Good for you. But how is my "attack on 'American sport'" (didn't know I was attacking the phrase "American sport" in the first place) "lame" again? Can you articulate what it is you are trying to say, or are you just wanting to let the board know you're angry?

Yes, and I am very proud of you for founding this sort of logic... twice. I'm sure you are educating many.

Well, I already did that, so you're a little late. But it's been nice debating this with you?

No, it is because of scholarship money. Many kids play Soccer and other sports up through high school. In HS there are a ton of two and three sport athletes. Obviously not both Soccer and Football though. But the best of the best as you say, that go into college athletics will concentrate on Basketball or Football because full scholarships are plentiful, unlike Baseball and Soccer.

Isn't it nice we all don't like the same sport???

If we did we would rarely get tickets.

As it is now it takes us near $500 a game to see the Red Wings.....but, we LOVE it!!!!

It is nice. It is all a matter of personal preference. What ever point Ann Coulter was trying to make, she fails big time.
