My personal opinion is hell no. But then, I also understand what a frickin' quagmire any kind of foreign policy decision is in regards to the Middle East. Which, of course, is why the keyboard commandos who hang out here have a different opinion every day. And why I'm pointing and laughing at them.
They think they can somehow only arm and train the moderate terrorist death squads there when they can't. Syria is not worth spending one penny over or worth spilling one drop of US blood over. It seems Obama is listening to the humanitarian responsibility to protect bombers like Samantha Power and John Kerry and Susan Rice far too much.
Wtf? If we are going to arm anyone in that war it needs to be Assad. If you don't like dealing with the likes of him then stay the hell out because the alternative is worse.
Obama only gets involved when US national security is not at stake. If American lives and interests are at stake... Obama likes to wait, and dither, and delay long enough, so that things really go to hell in a hand basket, before he makes his first awful decision.
Now that the secular, patriotic, non-violent, non-Islamic extremist insurgent groups have all but been wiped out, and all we have left are the worst of the Islamist extremists... now he wants to get involved.
Remember McCain wanted to just arm the Syrian rebels, how would that have turned out. They criticize Obama when he does nothing and criticize when he does something, can't win. One thing for sure the wars in Syria and Iraq are having a large impact on the surrounding countries, Turkey, Jordan even Italy are being impacted by the flood of refugees
Isn't there something called double jeopardy? I think he has already done this. I believe ISIS is already using US guns, Humvee's, ammo, etc.,etc.etc
