Paul Kanjorski was re-elected how many times inspire of the fact he was a self serving scumbag who made his family and friends rich on tax dollars. Hardliners will vote party line no matter what. In my area a state rep named Ray Musto is still considered a hero in spite of being caught red handed and up to his eyeballs in corruption. Look at how many revere the Kennedys as if they were almost god like.
The party controls who we really get to vote for. They make sure that no one can challenge the status quo. Then you see people defend their party with the vigor one might defend their own child or parent. Sometimes I wonder if they carry a little rebook to draw upon for party wisdom.
I don't think you are actually disagreeing, people see what they want to see. If people think Congress is a mess, but like their Congress Person, be it liking them or a hardliner which is someone who also likes their representatives, are gonna vote them back in office.

There are a number of people I would vote out of Congress, but I don't live in those states or districts. All I do have control over is my state and district when it comes to who I vote for.

Blah blah blah Harry Reid is big and mean.

Stop passing stupid laws through the House and he wouldn't have to play goaltender. Don't attach defunding Obamacare to every bill
