More importantly, if this were an (R) administration that had been targeting liberal groups, the media and all it's Woodward & Bersteins would be brought to bear. It was wrong when Nixon was suspected of doing it, and it is just as wrong today with Obama & Co doing it.

You are right about that boy oh boy. The [R] administration would be mince meat, and would be news worthy 24/7 and asked to resign no doubt.
Wow? how things change.
How very convenient for them. Why does this not surprise me. Do not trust anybody associated with this administration.

If you want a government that is held accountable by the media, then you have to vote Republican.
I is it that the media is not computer savvy. So, they just cannot fathom that the odds of this - the multiple cases of 'lost' e-mails - are like the Titanic hitting an iceberg off of Key West. Or, is the media's allegiance to the progressive movement that dogmatic and frightening?

The media is in the tank for Obama, pure and simple. They are afraid that this goes all the way to him, so they will not investigate and press this real scandal.
Ironically, Obama's presidency has been derailed by his supporters (which includes the MSM). By refusing to hold him accountable for anything, he has been encouraged to lie, break promises, use strawmen, etc...and the independents have woken up.
Hence his 38% approval rating at the moment in Gallup.

Ho-hum. Same old same old. The media is in the tank for Obama because they won't investigate this non-scandal. Of course, Fox and rightwing talk radio (aka the media) continue to run around like their hair is on fire over this non-scandal, so your contention that the media isn't covering it is untrue. Just that most non-far rightwing media has seen it for the non-scandal it is and have moved on.

According to Gallup, Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, GHWBush, Clinton and W. Bush all had approval ratings below 38% at one time or another (W Bush wins the contest with a paltry 25% in October of 2008), so President Obama is doing okay in the regard.
