No - It's like an ex Chicago cop told me, "Out here, I AM the law!"

Reel 'em in? Check your test line.

Here's Newsweek's take on the Blackwater scandal.

Blackwater Employee Threatened to Kill State Department Investigator: Report
Yes. Things are getting scary. They could get influence over politicians in this country also, using Mafia-like thuggish threats (actually the real Mafia already has quite a bit of influence).

No, unfortunately. And as my other half points out, the fed calls them "Private Military Security Contractors."

Art imitates life. Watch this quick video by the producers of Vice to learn just how powerful PMC's really are.

Blackwater is a bad idea from start to finish yet we keep prefer to put blinders on about them. There are times I don't know who to be more disturbed by: Blackwater or the American people re Blackwater.

Yea...seriously? I keep rereading it but can't bring myself to believe you're being serious
Well, keep reading. Private security guards and protective services have been around for a long time. They have never "declared war" on the American people, stolen elections or lied to the American people on any kind of scale anyway-no matter how much weak-minded Hollywood producers like to use them for the boogy man. The same can't be said for the NY Times. Or their creation, the Obama administration.

Ah....you do realize that Call of Duty is a video game and Vice is a work of fiction, right?

Interesting video.

I wonder how much access Blackwater in Iraq were given to NSA omniscient data? And whether they used that access in a sneaky way, to sell information to other private corporations to be used for example in target marketing. After all, a private corporation has no conscience limiting how they make money.

COD is a video game but the information presented in the video about Private Military Corporations is fact. Scary huh, the third largest corporation in the world is PMC?

Blackwater was in New Orleans too after Katrina-scary stuff.

Private military corporations and private prisons are a complete disgrace and go against everything we stand for in this country.
