OMG, with al due respect, your reading comprehension sucks. For the second time, everyone is silent, wearing the same thing. There are blacks, whites,Chinese and homosexuals; not bi-racials, not flamboyant gays, not racially ambiguous people, you are explicitly told who is in the room.

The answer is sometimes. Sometimes I can identify a black person, sometimes I can not depends on the skin tone. Sometimes I can identify a gay person simply based on the way they sit, sometimes I can not.

Now. if a black couple, a white couple, and a gay couple walk into city hall to get a marriage license, why should only the gay couple get denied the legal protections and benefits of marriage when the others are not?

remember, AMENDMENT XIV

SECTION 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

It does not say unless they are not easily identifiable as a group. It says ALL PERSONS. Last time I checked, I am a person and an American citizen.

To perfectly answer your question:

It depends on the person. Sometimes they wear their sexuality on their sleeve, sometimes they don't. If everyone is "wearing the same clothes, the only difference being color", then yes, it would be harder to tell who is gay and who isn't.

Now, the question being, what does that matter?

With all due respect, if you think advocates of gay marriage equate black skin and homosexuality, then your reading comprehension sucks.
