Yes, and I'm hope they are.

Yup. That didn't happen either.
You know what DID happen?
Gold crashed.
Despite predictions by goldbugs and wingnuts there's been no major surge of inflation, the U.S. dollar has not collapsed, there's been no huge outbreak of food riots, the government has not started gathering up peoples guns, black U.N. helicoptors have not descended on America, folks have not been dumped into concentration camps by Islamic infiltrators and Obama has not declared himself President for life.
Who'd a thunk it?
Anyone with more than half a brain, that's who.

True enough - which just proves my point that the LFPR was ALREADY in decline even before the Great Recession. Demographic influence is relentless and unstopable.

Oh, that's because Obama's so inept. Lousy President can't even be an effective dictator!

But, of course, that won't stop the Tea Party from continuing to warn us that all that will still happen.

Anyone who doesn't believe that by giving someone too much power, that power will surely be abused is naive. Of course Obama wants you to "reject those voices".

How did it go, we have lots in inflation in reality, but not the way the government reports it. From my own grocery basket at Walmart:

Cheerios, still $3.68 like in 2009, not inflation, BUT WAIT!! The box went from 16.5 oz to 14 oz to 11.5 oz to now 8.9oz.

So, we went from 22.3c/oz to 41.3/oz, a 17% annual increase.

Skippy super chunk, still $3.28 like 2009, wow!! no inflation!! BUT WAIT!! 21 oz to 18 oz to 16.5 oz to 14 oz.

So, we went from 15.6c/oz to 23.4c/oz, a 10% annual increase.

Santitas Corn Chip, the $2 POUNDER bag, still $2 Wow, Obama is GOD, no inflation!!!!!!, BUT WAIT, they dropped the POUNDER monicker in mid 2010!!! it went 13.5 oz to 12 oz to 10 oz.

So, we went from 12.5c/oz to 20c/oz, a 12% annual increase.

Wow, love that lack of big inflation!!!

lol yep I remember year after year government would say around a 3% inflation rate which we all knew better. Then the company would give a 3% raise if we were lucky... Now the left claims wages didn't keep up with cost of living. Now they want to support what the government says.

... Government says no inflation.... No cost of living raise then.

I already rejected those voices because they're the voices of screaming, petulant, whining children. Actually, sorry, that's offensive to screaming, petulant, whining children.

I'm curious where you're getting those numbers. I'm not questioning that food prices have increased dramatically. But do you have your walmart receipts from 2009?

Still, inflation is overall low.
