Anything else is based on emotion and personal opinion, nothing else.

Those of us who know what we are talking about know that the founders were indeed protecting an individual right of the people to be armed. You don't have to like it, but at least admit it.
I refer you all to Title 10, United States Code, where you will find the legal definition of "Militia" according to U.S. law.
I refer you to the Constitutions of the various states, where you will often find either a definition of "militia" or The Right To Keep And Bear Arms as defined by the State. The Wyoming and Montana Constitutions are particularly interesting.
Both Federal and State laws are quite clear about who is in the Militia!

Well, the Clinton's did put together a video for the gun selling AD agency(AKA NRA) training video for it's followers, in prep for July 4th events ...

BTW, it doesn't matter who is in the militia, since the right to keep and bear arms doesn't depend on militia membership.

My 91-year-old grandmother, who can't get out of her wheelchair and can barely see, is not in the militia. But she has the right to keep and bear arms, just as you and I do.

Keep in mind, of course, that no matter what Target's policies are, they can't make you give up your gun. And they can't take it away from you.

But they CAN say that, if you are carrying a gun, please don't come in to our property. Which means that, if you do, you are trespassing, and they can call the cops and have you removed. And they DO have the right to declare that... as they should.

Private property rights are just as important as gun rights. And when you're on someone else's private property, his property rights (including the right to ask anyone to leave for any reason) are inviolate. Your right to own and carry a gun are also inviolate... but he can always make you leave his property.

Target: Don't Bring Guns Into Our Stores
As a PRIVATE firm, they have every ritght to do as they wish.

I just wonder if any body is hurt/killed by a gun totting criminal, can they be sued by the person hurt or the family of the killed for negligence by stopping everyone from being able to protect themselves against such gun totting criminals?

They've probably got more people trying to bring guns into their stores now that they've made a big deal of it...
was that part of their plan? media attention?

The 2nd amendment needs to be abolished and all the guns and high powered weaponry EVERYWHERE should be destroyed. They don't serve any good purpose whatsoever.

This stuff happens every day world wide. Watch your local news so that you might be better informed and more in tune with the reality of the world in which you live.

Those nutburgers in the photo have some issues, I am sure they are doing this for effect or maybe it's just a coincidence that several people need to carry guns to pick up some deodorant. These people do more damage to your cause and sure fit the stereotype.

But starting today we will also respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target - even in communities where it is permitted by law.
I agree with you about those "nutburgers" or whatever you called them. Nonsensical and uncalled for what they are doing...

Actually, I just want to say that what you are saying doesn't apply everywhere. It depends on state laws. In My state for instance, if a business hangs a no-guns sign up and you carry one in, you are just as guilty of carrying in a prohibited place as if you'd carried in to a school or post office.

Know your local laws everyone.
