Absolutely nothing.

In fact, just the opposite.
Because of fracking, the US is forced to import gasoline to meet Demand which is one reason why gasoline prices are so high and will continue to be over the long-term.

If Keystone is ever completed, you will be forced to triple your gasoline imports....how exactly is that being independent?

Canadian Tar Sands will cause a reduction in the gasoline supply in the US.

You're already exporting 12,000,000 barrels of gasoline...504 Million gallons of gasoline per month.

In perspective, 33.6 Million cars at 15 gallons per tank.

Why?

That's what the stupid Frack-heads wanted.

If you enjoy paying $3.73/gallon, then hug a Frack-head....if you don't, perhaps you might want to reach for the Louisville Slugger.

Garbage oils like Fracked oils and Tar Sands and junk like Unita Basin Black Wax are worthless for gasoline. They're fantastic for asphalt, diesel, bunker fuel, jellies and lubricants,....but then those things don't make your car go.

Canadian Tar Sands is high Sulfur, high Nitrogen, low on gasoline yield. That will reduce the gasoline supply in the US, driving prices up, and then you'll have to import even more finished gasoline (and a lot of it comes from Venezuela -- I just wonder if anyone sees the Great Irony that Frack-Heads and Key-Tards foam at the mouth over Venezuela, while simultaneously handing over their money to Venezuela).

The Key-tards are just like the Frack-heads......throw a tempter tantrum like a small child, and then when they get exactly what they want, they throw a temper tantrum because gasoline prices are too high, and even that wouldn't be so bad, except they blame everyone but themselves.

Petro-economically...

Mircea

Furthermore, Keystone won't bring anywhere near the jobs or money you think it will. It may actually increase the price you pay at the pump.
You really should read something besides rabidly right-wing blogs.
Good luck with that last part.

And if the First Nation's help kill Keystone (only increasing my respect for them) then it will undoubtedly be Obama's fault.

Out with Keystone XL, In with Enbridge Northern Gateway
He's just trying to keep us dependent on Middle East oil so he can keep us involved in wars like the one in Iraq. He sees himself as the world dictator.

This and the snuffing out of Pebble Mine are
the only two things the Obama Administration has done
that I approve of.

Best chance Keystone has ever is Obama after the November election. Okaying it is a highly pragmatic decision and Obama will be in a position to be highly pragmatic at that point.

And note at this point we import practically no gasoline and export little.

Contrary to the idiocy being published here it has little impact on anything in the US and probably is a net safety improvement and good for maintaining flow through US Gulf coast refineries.

It is the sort of thing Obama does. Annoy the hell out of some of his supporters but probably the best outcome for the country.

We shall see.

It's not like we don't already have Keystone, we are getting Canadian oil. Phase 1 > 3 and beyond are already up and running. I imagine Phase 4 will be back after the elections.

Means if we as a country do not control our resources in America we have to depend on Middle East Crazies as a supply source. Energy it never a closed subject.

Your Language is offensive and if you want people to even consider yor points you many wish to re phrase and adjust your tone. We are using Fracking in regular gas and the reason why I know this is the tankers going to refineries. You guys just want to run the world on a battery car.

No thanks.

Price, what a hot topic. The Price is up because of world wide speculators mostly. In the US there is not a shortage, because you pointed out and is correct, we export oil. That being said, that line of thinking gas should be 2.50 per gallon.

If Romney was President Romney we could conceivable have those prices and our economy would be have a 4% growth vs. a 1% under the Obama plan.
