any truth to this???

Its very clear that the United States is now attempting to overthrow the government in Iraq which it helped set up. The reason for this is because Iraq has moved away from the American dominance and has started making oil agreements with Iran and Russia, as well as China.

Considering that Saddam’s great sin back in 2002 was trading oil in euro’s and not in dollars, which was soon followed by the invasion and occupation the following year, the events of the last few months have forced the United States dollar interests to once again over throw the Iraq government.

This time they are using the same militant groups which they are using in Syria and elsewhere. The same playbook which only seems different because we assume that the Iraq government is still in bed with the US. That is not so, as the following news reports confirm:

Russia’s Lukoil opens giant Iraq oil field, adding to crude glut

Iraq looks East in foreign policy

Syria attraction: Russia moving into Eastern Mediterranean oil bonanza

These stories are only scratching the surface of what is happening on the world’s geopolitical stage right now.

With Russia and China aggressively moving away from the dollar and Iraq joining up with the BRICS group, its only a matter of time before Iraq’s oil is priced in rubles, yuan, or euros again.

Why else would Iran be coming to the aid of the Iraq government.

Iraq Update: Jihadists Seize 2 More Iraqi Towns; Close To 30 Miles Of Baghdad; Iran Rushes To Help

The desperation for American dollar interests are kicking into high gear. Without Iraqi oil and Ukrainian natural gas, it’s hard to imagine a world where the US is anything but what Britain was for the second half of the 20th Century.

The dollar is attempting to retain control in the multilateral system and I just don’t see that happening. Negotiations continue in all regions once dominated by the US dollar, from Iraq to Vietnam, and Ukraine to Panama.

This year continues to meet the predicted expectations laid down for it back in January. – JC

Please if it was about the oil agreements we would have done this years and years ago when the oil agreements were made, and there was a lot of terrorism occurring within the country. This is the Iraq government messing up its relationships internally so badly that Iran is helping them. If anything you could more easily argue that Iran fermented this issue then us.

your posts interests me.... Its hard for me to think that anyone who goes off trading oil for anything other than other than US dollars will be killed.... or have a regime change.

The words "United States" and "overthrow" are so intertwined that any time they're mentioned in the same sentence, you have to take it at least somewhat serious even if it seems ridiculous. We're the king of the government overthrows.

Iran is a neighboring state, Russia is close. It makes sense they would have oil agreements and pipelines with Iraq. China is the biggest consumer of Persian Gulf oil - more than the US or Europe

What evidence do you have that the "US is attempting overthrow of Iraqi government".

Russian fighter jets arriving as we type........We fought, we liberated briefly, we let it fall back and now we lose only to help Russia/Iran gain more power and more oil. Sounds like a win win to me......not

Are you kidding ?

4 ME countries went off the USD..Iraq, Libya, Iran and Syria.

We toppled 2 and war monger constantly against the other two.

If the petrodollar goes the US is TOAST because no country will want to keep US dollars anymore.
All wars we wage in the ME is to preserve the petrodollar.

Honestly we need to stay out of there, the reality is that Iraq is a fake country created after WWI which needs to split up according to the borders it's ethnic groups would prefer to be in, no western intervention.
