People who claim to worry about climate change use more electricity
People who say they are concerned about climate change use more electricity than those who say the issue is 'too far away to worry about', government-commissioned study finds.
And the DECC admits their own study is flawed because of.... old people.
Nice try, failed per usual.

“When we separated the pensioner households from the younger ones, there was no significant relationship between this statement and energy use in the pensioner group, and only a weak trend among younger households."

Yeah, I admit that I use a lot more electricity and a lot less fossil fuel, and since my electricity sources are the sun and hydro power my carbon footprint is a lot less than average....How about you...Still burning old tires in your yard?

I burn all my garbage and plastics. Old tires I haul to the dump. I used to burn leaded fuel in my plane but have upgraded to a plane that burns Jet-A. I burn all my used motor oil in my space heater for my shop.

I've seen it myself. These rich liberals that don't walk their own talk. Boulder, CO. They march in GW rallies, environutcake rallies, everything under the sun. They they go home to their 6000 sq ft home in the mountains. One guy, and I knew for a fact that this guy was a flaming liberanazi--a big pool with a natural gas fired pool heater, 2 AC units and a HEATED driveway. That's right, a half million BTU boiler for his driveway alone so he wouldn't have to snowblow or shovel.
I would have thought their electricity use would be slightly lower if anything, but instead there doesn't seem to be a difference . Also, I don't think the use of alternative power sources explain it, because the people that have those systems represent a tiny fraction of those concerned about climate change.
Sanspeur, you do make a great point about the problem (such as it is) being the source of energy, not energy consumption. As I always say, you could consume a hundred times as much energy as I do, but if all of your energy comes from solar and geothermal and all of mine comes from fossil fuels you'll be a lot greener than me.
