then why not go with a progressive sales tax rate of 12% across the board. a straight tax, and get rid of the 16th Amendment and fire 99% of all IRS workers.

I also never supported obama, as he was always just to slick, reminded me lots of bill Clinton when he got on the national stage and said " I never had sexual relations with that woman".

Go read the Constitution and get back to me.

We are not a dictatorship where the executive branch does as it pleases when it doesn't get its way. One of the main responsibilities of the president is to "take care that ALL laws be faithfully executed." (Article 2, Section 3)

LMAO...revisionism at its best.

We went into Iraq in 2003.

We had to "surge" in 2007.

Why? Because the war was a DISASTER and American troops were dying at over 100+ per month.

Bush listened to his commanders? Guess what? Most of his military commanders (that would be the Generals) were complete Bozos and idiots. Of course, Bush's SecDef was a loser too.

He didn't even know that his military vehicles were under armored until a million IED's killed so many soldiers.

"You go to war with the Army you have" was the Administration response.

Lol @ "Bush listened to his military."

We will survive Obama. We will not survive the voters who put him in office.

A flat tax of 12% is insufficient. I like having clean water, air, and roads to use.

So go impeach him, and all the other Presidents that used Executive Orders.

Knock off the double standards, then get back to me.

The rich would be paying more federal tax than they are now, with a consumption tax.

Although posters on here can be misinformed, I would think that the fact that they readily seek out news and debate would make the average poster at least a bit more informed than the average person in the general population. Although, many people, right or left, only focus on one news designed to affirm your political point as it is. Still, I stand by that people on forums tend to be slightly better informed than people I meet out on the street.

Which is why it is surprising that I the moment that Obama has a 28% approval rating on this poll. Perhaps that is about right, but I would think it would be lower.

After all, the left wanted the anti-Bush, and they may have just as well reelected Bush for most issues.

When you judge Obama by the content of his character -- and not by the color of his skin -- it is impossible to support him.
