That's what you call Obama failing to address the problem. He knew about this problem ahead of time, but did not seek a change to the law to deal with the approaching crisis of tens of thousands of immigrant minors crossing the border, he just hired bus drivers.

Report: Obama Deporting Fewer DREAMers Even After Surge of Illegals

The Los Angeles Times obtained data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under a Freedom of Information Act request that indicate "the number of immigrants under 18 who were deported or turned away at ports of entry fell from 8,143 in 2008, the last year of the George W. Bush administration, to 1,669 last year."

You really have that catch 22 thing working for you. I think most people would put ideology aside if the President would act decisively and get rid of this loophole in the law.

WHO has done anything?

If we really want to begin changing the situation we should establish mandatory jail time for anyone hiring illegals including those in upper management of companies that do hire and make the employers responsible for deportation costs. When there's no possibility of jobs there'll be no illegals.

The political comics will have a hard time though. They won't even need to make any commentary to his idiocy...it speaks for itself. I just wonder what kind of person sees Rick and says that's the smart kind of politician that they want representing them.

folks, if you don't know this by now, you never will....all those blaming Rick Perry and calling him childish names doesn't get the job done, just shows how really ignorant Americans can be. All Rick Perry is doing is, realizing now how angry Americans are becoming, that Americans are finally starting to wake up so he is usting that to be re-elected, if Rick Perry felt this way, then why now?????

And as far as Obama asking for 2 million to help these illegals is so wrong, so illegal and I'm tired of having my hard earned tax dollars taken from me, by people who do not care about becoming a part of our nation....if they did, they would realize, it is a priviledge to be an American. And work hard to be a part of it, not against it...and Obama is actually legalizing illegal immigration...the entire governmetn is breaking the law, and using armed forces to break the laws?

Then people will need to stop voting for the current, corrupt, corporatist, establishment politicians in both political parties. Conservatives have been doing their best to kick these corrupt, sellout, corporatists to the curb since the first midterm in the Bush administration. Now, if only the democrats would start helping us, by doing the same in their political party....

Nominated by which political party? Perry was a life-long Democrat, before he suddenly became a RINO.

You mean like pass a law? What good will that do when we have a president who chooses to:

  1. disobey the law
  2. refuses to enforce the law
  3. reinterprets the law, changing how his admin agencies enforce or implement the law
  4. hands out waivers to the law, so other Americans, an illegal aliens can disobey the laws too
  5. or just delays implementation of the law, (which really means instructing his admin not to recognize or enforcement of the law)

How are the Republicans supposed to "do anything" with a president gone rogue, claiming his phone and his pen trump the entire legislative process???
