Don't you be throwing facts into this thread. The OP has a grand conspiracy theory that he's leading up to and I want to sit back and enjoy it.

Why the US? There are about 20 LatAm countries for those "kids" to go to where the language is the same.
The parents should be found and jailed for child abuse. Any relatives who claim these should be billed until they give up the location of the parents. No taxpayer benefits for these parasites. I don't get a tax credit for my pets.

Honduras never recovered from hurricane Mitch.....their main industry was bananas from growing...harvesting...building the boxes and loading them in box cars.
The gangs grew....they control many towns.
The politic system is nothing like ours....when a new party come to power....all jobs get new people....from their post office to their teachers....even some stores.
Things were bad......then Obama meddled in things....that threw the country into a further downhill spiral.
Many parents came illegally...they are just trying to get their children in the USA with them.
They pay good money to coyotes.....then their are parents in Honduras who believed their children could stay in the USA.....looks like they are right......so more is on the way.
If a child can make it to the border, then the parents could escort them as well as a hired smuggler. These kids are being raped and molested and show up here with HIV and other ailments from their journey....probably the smugglers or other older immigrant passengers. The cry that they are in danger in their own country is a ruse. When did El Salvador become the middle east? Yes they have drug lords but not in those outrageous numbers. Americans are leaving to go live in those South American countries...can't be that dangerous. I agree with the other poster...why not just take them to Costa Rica or Belize?
