How is it crass? Why else would you say "the rainbow coalition is hiring"? I can recognize when backhanded remarks are coming in.
Again, how did it help?
did I stutter? you answered my question with the exact same question. again, how is that rational? also, there is nothing to "help?" seriously, what the hell are you even talking about?

Well, I should ask. The comment sounded alot like a backhanded joke at the issue of Black unemployment. That is what I see in it, and that is why I ask you "how does your comment help the discussion"? Better yet, what is the point of having a discussion about a subject like this? Well, on a rational tone, the idea would be about solving problems. However, making light of Blacks having high unemployment rates only brings more division and anger, and causes more discord.
again I will ask. help what? what are you looking to help? a statistic? please provide the example in the thread where you helped a statistic.
I was not looking for a statistic. We can find statistics anywhere. What I am speaking of is this. What I take issue with is making light of the high Black unemployment rate, basically making backhanded jokes about it. I am going to take issue with that. How can you NOT expect me to?

I agree with everything you said but this. he is the president of the black community, that all he cares about, he sure not the president of the united states people

If all he cared about was the Black population, then why are Blacks having high unemployment rates? Why is everyone else doing better than Blacks? I also noticed the President is also trying to get amnesty passed, which will help immigrants. To say he only cares about Blacks is a fallacy.

maybe the rainbow coalition is hiring. in that case, I did help the discussion of black unemployment, because that is a black organization. if you want to solve unemployment problems, get people to apply for jobs. I am working 64 hours next week, so I don't understand why everyone is having such a hard time finding work.

But why bring up the Rainbow Coalition? Why them? I would have to assume it was a backhanded remark if you bring them up.
And that is the thing. You don't understand. You don't have to. You aren't unemployed. Those that are unemployed, why not ask them why they are unemployed. Ask them what efforts they are putting forth as they are looking for work. Not everyone who looks for work often receives it. Maybe you need to ask those who are unemployed what is going on. The "let them eat cake" mentality doesn't help a person get a job. Just turns a person against you.

I brought up the rainbow coalition because the issue was of black unemployment, and it is a black organization that deals with black issues. it's quite simple. I have been unemployed, so I do understand. you know what I had to do? I had to rent out my house at the beach in NC, where unemployment was high, and move to morgantown, WV, where unemployment is low. jobs are available to people who want them, but sometimes sacrifices must be made.
