According to an article in Mother Jones, Todd Akin is NOT sorry for his legitimate rape comments.

Thank you Todd! You have done more for the democratic party than most democrats. I just hope he can keep it up through 2016.

OH, and Mike Huckabee wrote the intro for his new book in which he details again his 'legitimate' rape comments. Way to GO, Mike.

Keep it coming Todd. This, combined with the recent Hobby Lobby decisions should drive more women voters away from the Republican party.

Good for him. There's lots of evidence that shows a connection between stress and infertility, even for men.

No surprise that the liberal left continues to flog this horse. Some republicans are morons. Knock me over with a feather.

The liberal left are in fact so insidious and powerful, they made Akin write a book and then got Huckabee to write the intro. What will they do next?

Keep pushing that angle. So if someone got pregnant from rape, it's because she didn't find the assault stressful enough?

You're supposed to dig UP.

It's not that simple. Our bodies are highly complex. But the fact is: Research has shown for years that stress has a negative effect on fertility.

No where in that "research" (googling) was there an article linking stress caused by rape. If you are going to make claims that your evidence doesn't support...at least pretend to forget to link the studies. Then it takes people a few minutes to find you are full of crap.

Damn straight it's not that simple. So when some idiot says "If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down", what are we supposed to think of him - or those who defend him?

Not quite fair as some of them could be quite crazy.

I would be less worried about people who defend him, but those who would vote for him after all this crap. I know some people would vote for a head of lettuce if it ran for the GOP (Louie Gohmert has proven that)...but it's some Americans will vote for anyone as long as they aren't democrat. Authoritarianism seems to explain it since many would vote for the head of lettuce no matter what, even if that candidate would violate their civil rights and imprison them.
