That's why the company who put a roof on our home will never be allowed back on our property. I happened to be sick and ended up a prisoner in my own house when they sent people to work who could not speak English and were doing it wrong. I had to call the company and let a man inside my home that I did not care to be here so the secretary could tell them what to do. Some of it is still not right. I have all these guarantees, but I don't want them back on my property.
I recently had my roof redone, too I asked for proof of worker documentation and worker's comp insurance during the estimate/bidding process.. One owner told me not to worry my pretty little head about it. I told him t leave. The other 2/3 promised to send it and I never heard from them again.
I ended up with a local guy and his three sons. They compete with all the other roofers who rely on undocumented and uninsured workers so they were competitive. It is not lost on me that consumers are the beneficiary of undocumented workers, too.
Why should Congress act when the President will simply ignore any law they pass anyway? Or did you forget about Obama's threat of using his pen and phone to violate the Law of the Land?

No, it's not wrong. The OA sent out a memo (Morton memo) basically telling ICE not to enforce immigration laws until the illegal commits some horrible crime.
Businesses complain to their Congressional reps and senators about being harassed by ICE.
No fence is high enough. No troops deep enough to keep people who want to work away from those who want to employ cheap labor.

Agreed. But what can you do when political correctness-gone-wild makes it impossible to even ask if someone is here legally? Maybe if customers were able to grill employers about who they are hiring, it would stop. When you can't speak english, not matter WHAT nationality you are, I should be able ask you for your status, without fear of being beaten for being a racist.
Last year we spent $18 billion. If the current leadership cant enforce the borders with $18 billion, the solution is to find one that can.
I can do this for $10 billion but in reality, it probably won't even cost 1 billion.
All I need to do is to inform all these South American countries and Mexico. If they do not secure their borders and stop the flow of the illegal immigrants and take them back, the USA will refuse to do any business and will shut down all travels originated from Mexico and those SA countries.
And how, exactly do you intend to secure the border, 100% unless Congress passes a bill to fund it?
There's plenty of money. Obama just doesn't want to dip into his precious "green energy fund" to use it where it really matters. The treasury is taking in record amounts of taxes. There is no reason to get more money to fund anything.
