The hell they can't, by default every single penny you pay in tax as a business is collected from the consumer. The tax bill is listed right below the electric bill in the expense column. Just like the electric the full cost of the tax is folded into the cost of the product.

Actually it is a VERY GOOD return on investment.

Since you have access to the numbers, as you claim here, How much in tax revenues will the all those new and moved empolyees pay?

How much in property tax will be paid by the employee AND the company?

How much in taxes will ALL the needed support companies pay in taxes, not only in the initial construction but, over the coming years?

2 things are obvious.

1. You don't know much about what business actually do pay in taxes.

2. How much they generate in other taxes.

Let's play the lefty game, "You are evil because YOU don't CARE about people getting jobs".
what you just spewed is all a load of far right wing crap.

I have plenty of knowledge of what businesses do and do not pay in taxes and on whos back their generous tax breaks are thrown upon.

It is obvious you have no skill in thinking beyond the tired Foxnews talking points that big business only does wonders for society.

It is also obvious you did not read the part about New Jersey's pension problems and the outrageous property taxes people already pay.
SO no, the return on investment is not good when the rest of the state drowns in fiscal problems while a group of very few people gain the rewards of crony capitialism in action.

What makes you think they don't?

Well when we witness crap like this:

START-UP NY |

There’s a new advantage to doing business in New York. A big one. START-UP NY, Governor Cuomo’s groundbreaking initiative, is transforming communities across the state into tax-free sites for new and expanding businesses. Now, businesses can operate 100% tax-free for 10 years. No income tax, business, corporate, state or local taxes, sales and property taxes, or franchise fees. Now, businesses can operate 100% tax-free for 10 years. Who the F do you think picks up the slack on corporate welfare such as this?

Now if you want to play pick and choose- lets have all of these tax benefits for SMALL BUSINESSES only.

Not mega corporations, not giant energy companies.

and sorry to say while I wish they were not necessary - taxes are for a viable society.

But when the citizens are mugged left and right by the powers that be who manipulate who does and does not pay taxes it is time to reassess.
You are not getting it. The government should relinquish its monopoly on services so that the private sector can pick up the slack. That way you only pay for services you utilize and not those of your neighbors
I know this isn't what they teach in government schools, but taxation/ coercion is in no way responsible for the formation of a viable society. Voluntary cooperation is the creator.

If people do not like the corporatist politicians in government that exist in both political parties, then we need to stop voting for them.

Energy companies are the epitome of monopolistic businesses.

Just about everything in New Jersey government is unsavory. Tax incentives are a fact of life for states these days when enticing businesses to come or stay. Some probably are worth it. If the numbers in the OP are accurate, this one isn't even close.

Small business is typically classified as an S-Corp. The s-corp business profit flows through to the owners "personal tax" return, meaning that small business are paying taxes for "all" business profit on their tax return even though the small business must retain, keep some of that money in the business. That money that remains in the business is still taxed on the owners personal tax even though they don't get to use it personally.

That's the difference between the OP and me: I complain about public assistance abuse and corporate welfare.
