In America's past men respected political leaders for their military service, their principles, and their integrity. But today's men (especially republicans) respect political leaders for how much money they have, and respect men if they are business CEO's, and it does not matter if they are psychopaths, sociopaths, draft dodgers, liars, or hypocrites.
I want someone who runs on promises he can actually keep. We need a President who is willing to work across the aisle, and until Obama, every President before did just that. Clinton tried the ideological route in his first term, and it didn't work. He had the fortitude to come back to the middle and then he got quite a bit done, turning around his legacy even through the impeachment.
Obama seems immune to bipartisanship. Listening to him rip on the GOP while wagging his finger for them to come up with a solution for the border problem was astounding. Even Boehner, usually a lump of indifferent nothingness, acted like an angry politician over that one.
We definitely need a President who will take responsibility for his job.
Obama does compromise with congress. In reality its the "Tea Party" candidates that refuse to compromise.

Most of the presidents didn't know how much a loaf of bread cost.. they are really out of touch.. I admired Ross Perot... even though he was rich he live modestly and understands that pomp creates pompous people and most of those who love power are pompous especially Obama with his nose up in the air.

Gene Simmons said he is not ashamed of being part of the 1%. Saying yes, we made a fortune and we worked for and made every dime of it. With all the attacks on the rich my question is does America want a hobo, a poor person for president?

He isn't wealthy. If he was he wouldn't be speaking of it.
Those in the 1% - actually the .01% - don't think such thoughts as Simmons - he is a pompous ass and full of himself. He is nouveau rich and his words/actions scream such. Do Gates, Buffet, Soros or others carry on about their wealth as does Gene Simmons any chance he gets? Paul McCartney is many times wealthier than Simmons and he doesn't stumpthump about the fact. Simmons is insecure and feels a need to rub it into the faces of his fans. Those fans need to find new heroes. Let KISS die, dry up and blow away.
The Obamas are not .01% but have money. They are nowhere near poor and they have no idea of how the average American lives his/her life. Car payments, mortgages and utility bills haven't passed through their hands in decades.
The USA will never have a poor POTUS - it's impossible.

My definition of "normal" is its definition in the dictionary.
normal- conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected.
And look at your criticisms of Obama, they contain only "social talk" with no connection to reality, much like your observations about my (personal) definition of normal and psychopath.
But none of the facts above mean anything to republicans. Republicans are about ignoring all facts that go against the teachings of Fox news and Rush radio, and then spinning the facts that go against Fox/Rush teachings.
Republicans are also about posting Fox/Rush soundbites that have no source other than the "Great Leader" Rush Limbaugh's mouth.
The big money is in the pacs and super pacs. The latter is not required to disclose donors. It's not the grass roots paying $50,000 a plate at a fundraising dinner to hear a politician tell them what they want to hear.
Corporations, which are persons, have the liberty of anonymity.
