Minnie Riperton - Lovin' You (Live 1975) - YouTube

This was one of the most beautiful works of art. back in the day, feminists that I knew scolded me for my admiration of Minnie Riperton.

Well, you definitely cannot have testicles and hit those high notes.

Testicles aside, this really cuts at the hypocrisy of the feminist movement as it exists in the US because while most right thinking people support feminism as way to expand freedom and opportunities for women, and particularly young women, the radical wing of the movement doesn't support the freedom of women to sing love songs to men or see them as beautiful.

I think it's nice song for a mother to write for her daughter (her daughter being SNL actress Maya Rudolph).
