The late, great Molly Ivins summed up Pat Buchanan brilliantly in 1992. From Wikipedia:
"On the subject of Pat Buchanan's famously combative Culture War Speech at the 1992 Republican Convention, which attracted controversy over Buchanan's aggressive rhetoric against Bill Clinton, liberals, supporters of reproductive and gay rights, and for his comparison of American politics to religious warfare, Ivins famously quipped that the speech had "probably sounded better in the original German," noting the similarity between the concept of "culture war" and the Kulturkampf of Otto von Bismarck's Germany."
Some things never change. Pat Buchanan is one of them.

No, not really they were based on Judo christen views, and on the idea of natural law, that man has rights that no group of men can limit, altar or, abolish.
No, they were not based on Judeo-Christian values. Most of the Founding Fathers were deist, not Christian, and they were Enlightenment thinkers who believed in man's freedom from religion, and conversely, man's freedom to believe in (any) religion.
You can't just call basic morals that humans have had forever Judeo-Christian values.
No. Obama is not going to break up America. What fear-mongering hogwash.
I call it boogie-man politics. It's what the right does. When is the last time you saw a Republican campaign FOR anything? Nope, instead they create a boogie man for every occasion and use them to terrify their idiot followers. And it works every time.
