I'm sorry, I'm skipping to the end of this one! Really, o.p.? Killing 600 women and children is taking care of bidness?! Alrighty then, shows, much more about your values than anything great about Israel. You can always count on a Conservative to have the take on a situation that is the most out of line with conventional humanitarian outlooks.

Just saying. A town of angry white people turned back a bus that was bringing Central American refugee children to a holding facility that was to be set up in their town. No and hell no, they said. And the buses went away. Now they are celebrating. In 1947, what 30K...40K?? "Israeli" citizens were dropped on the Middle East and the citizens of the town the refugees were dropped on were not given a say in the matter. Big bully Britain and the United States forced Israel on an unwilling aglomeration of Arab States and the world has never been the same since! If it were not for constant and expensive U.S. maintainance Israel would have long since been expelled from the region. They aren't so tough, they aren't so amazing. They have amazing amounts of U.S. weapons, training and military intelligence. That about sums it up. They need to be tried for war crimes. This present war is NOT Israel finally having had enough, it is because of the 3 kidnapped and murdered Israeli boys. 600 women and children to avenge 3 young men. The Israelis think that much of themselves. They always have. I don't agree that it is time for Hamas to go. I think it is time for a Palestinian State. When that happens there won't be any need for Hamas. Hamas arose because of the struggle. It is a resistance movement. They are a natural human response to oppression. Take away the oppression and resistance movements lose relevance and power. FWIW.

Here's an excellent primer on the situation. Historically accurate as well. Please watch.

Sheesh. Just take it and be done with it.
Would save a lot more lives in the long run.
And then level it. Use it as a buffer zone, no man's land.

This war was started by Hamas after the Israeli government rounded up potential Hamas operatives in the West Bank. Hamas is plain and simple a terrorist group that wants to kill every Israeli as well as every Jew possible and doesn't care how many Palestinian Arabs get killed in the process. So it is definitely time for Hamas to be demilitarized.

OK smartguy. Show us where in the past 66 years has the Israeli civil court system put any Palestinian Arab to death no matter how brutal their crime has been.

Are you implying the death penalty? By now, you should have figured out that the death penalty is pretty much distributed gratis to anyone that happens to be in the way, including children, hospitals, schools, etc. No "civil courts" involved there.

Does anywhere in this thread say Syria? No? Then YOU are typing in the wrong thread that 1000s have have been killed in this current war over the past two weeks.

A hell of a lot more noble than what Hamas would do to one of their wounded soldiers.

We in the U.S. are occupying other people's land, but that's something no Hamas-supporter ever wants to discuss.
