I don't agree that it is time for Hamas to go. I think it is time for a Palestinian State. When that happens there won't be any need for Hamas. Hamas arose because of the struggle. It is a resistance movement. They are a natural human response to oppression. Take away the oppression and resistance movements lose relevance and power. FWIW.

The problem is that everyone wants Palestinian state except the Palestinians. Actually, to be more precise, the only Palestinian state the Palestinians are willing to accept, is Israel. They don't want 2 sovereign countries living side by side in peace. The Israeli's do. The rest of the world does. The Palestinians don't. They want the entire place for themselves, and they are not willing to take anything less. That is what makes this situation so impossible.
Hamas does not speak for the people-especially the women and babies-of Gaza.
I certainly don't wish to bear any responsibility for the atrocious actions of The US Government-even though they were Democratically elected.
What World do you live in? It is Gazan children that are getting killed daily by Israeli rockets and yes, they will try to protect their own too-it is human instinct which is why this conflict-nor any- will not end by bombing.

Palestinians will have to first develop a greater love for their children than they have for Hamas, and stop allowing Hamas to use their children as meat-shields.

You nailed it. And that's why the Palestinians allow Hamas to carry out such atrocities such as attacking Israeli children, and to use Palestinian children as their shields.

We in the U.S. are occupying other people's land, but that's something no Hamas-supporter ever wants to discuss.
Didn't you know? We are absolved of all of our country's crimes because it happened nearly 300 years ago. Plus Native Americans and Mexicans aren't suicide bombing us. So because they don't react violently, it's OK. Also, India and Turkey? Nah, don't care. That land is useless anyway.

Are you implying the death penalty? By now, you should have figured out that the death penalty is pretty much distributed gratis to anyone that happens to be in the way, including children, hospitals, schools, etc. No "civil courts" involved there.
If there were any truth in this comment then what LexusNexus typed would be true, but its not. Using the word "children" means nothing at this point since the ones actually fighting are teenagers. So You might as well say "babies" because that is actually happening and there is nothing that can be done about it. " If you set up a rocket launcher and snipers in the top floor of a Hospital, then that top floor becomes an Israeli target. Look at all the photos online. Israel only fired at that top floor when they could have simply flattened the entire building and they did not. Schools; storing rockets in the basement of school does not make that school a safe location for the people.
Another false assumption (boy, there are lots on this thread!) : Israel is treating "wounded Hamas fighters" (as opposed to killing them as they usually do), and so this somehow "justifies" the occupation. Right..
You aren't updated: Gaza is not "occupied" since 2005. Israel dismantled all civilian settlements and the Israeli army withdrew. But instead of calming the situation, the violence increased significantly. Isn't that a clue for the future?

Posters stating an opinion that is critical of Israels position and actions does not make them anti-semitic.
In the same way that being critical of Russia does not make one anti-Russian Orthodoxy or being critical of India makes one anti-Hinduist.
There is also condemnation from within the international Jewish community as well as from without. I think it would be a be an inaccuracy to also call them anti-semitic don't you think? Are they also not just stating an opinion on the actions taken by Israel?
