I wonder how many of the "Imma get me some free healthcare" people knew this:

Quote:
..people who enroll in Obamacare through the federal exchange aren’t eligible for subsidies. The text of the law only provides subsidies for people enrolled through “an Exchange established by the State,” according to the text of the Affordable Care Act. Only 16 states decided to establish the exchanges...
Anyway, I hope Tribe is right so we can get rid of this unfunny joke called Obamacare. Since the libs have been bleating to hear what the Republicans have to say about how to reform healthcare, maybe this time they will listen.

If the republicans don't recognize that this boat has already sailed, and successfully manage to destroy the ACA, they will seal their fates as a political party.

It's not the republicans that are destroying the ACA.. It is the flawed law itself that is falling apart under its own absurdity. Not to worry though. This will bring about single payer as you originally wished for. I hope you enjoy the same kind of medical care as I get with the VA. Good luck with that.

They can't and aren't.

It's coming apart on its own because it is a mess that was passed without being properly analyzed.

Its a large law that was passed with the assumption that fixes would have to be made along the way. What they didn't realize was that if this was a car Republicans would refuse to change the oil...ever. Or do any sort of maintenance. Now they're screaming that the engine is making a light knocking noise, and they TOLD you this was a bad car to buy.

Hey did you know most large bills like this normally have other laws passed to help manage them as you learn things?

Or that this one is a particularly childish argument about whether federally created exchanges should act like the state ones in their subsidies?

Perhaps they should have gotten at least some of the Repubs to go along with passing it. Perhaps they should not insult, blame and demean them at every chance. And perhaps, they should not try to cover up every single mishap or issue, which then turns it into a scandal.

Since this didn't and doesn't happen, you can expect problems and gridlock.
