Yes, too many in the south have been raised like this as this as well. And it includes whites.

Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Houston, Nashville, Dallas, Charlotte, and Jacksonville are all great cities for Black Americans, and are all healthy cities.

For what the OP was wondering about, the answer would probably be Atlanta.

What's the definition of prosperous? I think Atlanta and Washington DC would be considered prosperous by almost anyone's standards. These are exceptions, however.

Genetics and culture are largely responsible for the lower standard of living among blacks, but just as there are certainly stupid white people in the world, there are also intelligent black people. You can make generalizations, but you can't say that everyone of a certain race or ethnic group is alike.

I could list quite a few, but I don't like giving a road map, I remember the histories of what happened in areas like Greenwood, FL, Fort Morse, FL, Rosewood FL, Seneca Village, NY. There have been quite a few prosperous or just plainly self sufficient, predominantly black towns/cities. These towns left out of the more popular history books, it's not fitting to teach that history if one really wants to know such things you have to take a microscope and search out the information.

Today, there are many such communities in existence, they just don't make the news because people are living and prospering and minding their own business.

Harlem, South side of Chicago, and Watts (which isn't even a mostly black community anymore) aren't prosperous?

Could've fooled me. In fact, who said that Compton isn't prosperous?

Do you know how large the South Side is? Do you know how many neighborhoods comprise the South Side?

Hell no you don't..

Obama's neighborhood of Hyde Park is on the South Side...And it's far more prosperous than where YOU live. So is Harlem. And Compton probably is too.

Please don't tell me you are actually arguing that the south side of Chgo is actually a prosperous area.

Overall, it's not.

At all.

There's no general differences amongst races of course. I mean, I'm sure a team of five white guys is winning the nba championship any day now.

Name the communities on the South Side and then tell me which ones are prosperous and which ones aren't.

Go ahead.

Then tell me how you measured that prosperity or lack thereof.
