Messages of liberty and promoting EXCELLENCE at home before running around the world getting involved in everything and asking for balanced budget is kooky these days.
Common sense does apply for those minds molded into mush of big government spenders and do gooders.
If you asking the American general population to vote for these ideas your wasting your time, and the media will not promote such free thinking. Because the media doesn't believe in you thinking for yourself.
The only chance this country has is hopes the young minds of this country understand liberty, free economics and there might be just enough minds left to save but only time will tell.
Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
The welfare, warfare, never ending spending, credit card debt, spying and destruction on basic civil liberties.. is the system. Those so dependent on that system will never leave it they have been conditioned to need it and anyone asking to remove it is crazy?!? Which is crazy accepting this government as it is, or freeing the people and restoring liberty to them.
I always thought it interesting that you could time Dr. Paul's speeches....for the first two - three minutes, he sounds sensible. By minute 5, he's veered off into Crazytown.
The man the media blackout, so his message would not get out to the masses.
The man who's message is true.
The man that stands for liberty for all, not just the chosen few.

He is basically that guy that comes up to you that you think is sane at first, and then he gets weird and starts talking about space aliens, and you realize you are now stuck talking with someone who is bat crazy.

Reason: bypassing the profanity filter
Trying to preserve liberty is crazy, I agree with you.
Liberty for who? Not for women. Not for immigrants. Not for people of color.
Dr. Paul's ideal is the 19th century. Yes, we were on the gold standard...we also had recessions and depressions every 15-20 years. The rich did well; the poor did lousy. The middle-class was tiny. Companies literally got away with murder. Thank God for Teddy Roosevelt.
Gee, can't imagine why most people don't want to go back to that system.
Its not so much that Ron or Rand Paul look good, its that everybody else looks far far worse. Ron Paul would be the best chance we have to keep the country from going down the toilet. Obama's a cretinous 2 year old who keeps flushing and flushing.
