Or- the man is stupid and most average voters are too smart to understand him.

That one swings both ways equally. Obviously, most voters, whether they were smart of stupid, did not agree with the man.

It's time to get over the chapazz and move back to the present. Woulda, coulda, shoulda doesn't count for any part of nothing.

Because the Iraq war and the economy crashing were good things done by smart people.

Believe me, I wish Paul did choose his words more carefully since I agree with him a quite a few things. however, the longer he talks, the more he goes off on tangents, and starts sounding incoherent. His problem is that he is a poor communicator, does not connect with the average listeners, and he comes off sounding like he is just ranting and rambling.

It's called not being willing to lie to those he is talking to. You aren't going to find Paul saying "You can keep your doctor if you like your doctor" when he knew that wasn't the truth.

Yes, it is difficult being truthful it seems.

Exactly one bill that he sponsored made it into law in all the years he sat in Congress. Oh, he's pure...purely useless.

Passing laws makes a politician useful?
Some people just need to be ruled I guess.

Then what was he doing there if not to improve the nation? Laws can be useful, you know. But if all you do is vote 'no' on everything because it doesn't fit your ideas of what is perfection -- because that's what he did, he never tried to reach a consensus on anything -- then why are you accepting a paycheck?

Yes it certainly is. Just ask Jimmy Carter--probably the most honest president we have had. Nice guys finish last in this country.

Agreed--if Congressional members' sole purpose is as to babysit, they should make a lot less money.
