Why are they there, how did they get there, who put them up and what does this mean when it comes to security of the Brooklyn Bridge? Lots of questions, lots of speculation, and a deepeing mystery. I'm intrigued.
I heard yesterday that the flags were the same American flags that had been up there, the culprits took them down and bleached them at the scene, then put them back up. In a free country, people are going to do things like this. No security is perfect.
Unless someone has a fertilizer truck bomb or similar what serious damage can someone (pedestrians in this case) do the the bridge?
