Looks like this is the lesser of two evils to Boehner, he is not in the impeachment camp. It will be interesting which law firm they pick , maybe a connected lobbyist.
Not only that, but if any republican dares to ever speak about wasting money again, this is going to be the first rebuttal. I wish Boehner & cronies had to pay for this themselves as it's going to cost a fortune in taxpayer funds that will go to lawyers. Any conservative who has ever complained about wasting taxpayer money will look like a huge hypocrite for not objecting to our paying for this nonsense. The US electorate deserves total transparency as to the cost of this idiocy. All good Americans should contact Boehner and ask for an accounting. Do the morons in congress know that their 13% approval rate can still go lower? Let's just watch--it may end up as a negative number. Talk about frivolous lawsuits--this takes the cake.
Speaker John Boehner's proposed lawsuit has no legs. He does not have standing to sue President Obama; and the congressional resolution authorizing him to sue the President is not effective to confer representative standing as it violates separation of powers limitations of the Constitution. The suit will be dismissed and any appeal denied.
