Assuming this type of scenario could really happen, I honestly believe resistance would come from all sides. Politics would have diddly to do with it. Neither would race, jobs, gun ownership or socioeconomic status.

Nothing brings Americans together faster quicker than being attacked. That fact is often forgotten of late.

I will never forget the people of LA's reaction to the guy who was stalking cops. Some gangs began actively trying to protect various cops. Some went so far as to set up their own protection-esque details for the cops.

That is awesome. I bet they weren't Russian gangs.

Average gun owners? (no affliation with a militia)
Gangs?
Ex-cons?
Ex-military?
Former/current law enforcement?
Militias
high school students?
college students?
Young?
Old?
Middle-aged?
gamers?
re-enactors?
the radical left?
the radical right?
recent immigrants?
athletes?
Hollywood?
some ethnic/racial group of Americans?
Some other group of people?

There are no wrong answers.
All of the above, from every location.

I'd say most of the Hollywood crowd would be tories, the ones catering to the invaders, the sympathizers.

THIS^^^^

People don't understand the revolution mentality that we have. We may look like sheep, but if we're pushed far enough we'd throw politics out and get down to business together. That's what a common goal provides... focus.

Anyone over 45 who lived through the cold war holds that movie close to their hearts. You had to be there to understand it.

Definitely not one of the worst movies of the time.

Certainly better than any vampire teen lust movie.

Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo is a better movie.

Cellphones are annoying as f#$!

If people are talking about shooting while shooting there is no problem. The lane, as is a public restroom, is not a private phone booth..

I was ready for this, someone violated the NON-interference Directive and slipped a number of Stinger antiarcaft missiles and TOWs or similar missiles to the Afgans. Then they had somrthing a little more effective than small arms. For your information in an occupation of the USA by a peer country to the late great USA who would be sending weapons to help the poor Americans?

Well it certainly wouldn't be the gun nuts. They're always yapping about how if that happened they'd go barricade themselves somewhere and shoot anybody who comes near
