I don't understand modern war. American keeps telling Israel that it needs to stop fighting Hamas and pull out it's troops before the job is done. (Why is it our business anyway? Is Mexico telling Israel how to fight against terrorists?)
In WW2, America fought to win the war and kept bombing and killing people, including thousands of civilians until Japan, Germany and Italy lost the will to fight. To kill the Nazi leadership and troops many civilians died. America had to destroy their enemy's will to fight. Israel needs to do the same. Keep fighting until they (Hamas) says Uncle.
Didn't we learn our lesson from Korea and Vietnam that you have to fight a war to win? If Israel is being attacked, let them fight the war until the other side says uncle and they lose their will to keep fighting and lay down their arms. That is how wars ended throughout history.
Agree or disagree?
Woo-Haaa! War is the way! Kill more people! Woo Haa!!!!!!!
Mosab, the son of Hamas founder, says that Hamas is one of the most dangerous organizations in the world because they have religious ideological global agendas that they seek to implement mainly through violence. They believe they have the right to kill anyone who disagrees with the establishment of a Caliphate throughout the world. "Every country in the world is a target for the Hamas movement, which influences other terrorist organizations including Al Qaeda, who learned from Hamas," said Mosab on The Mark Levin Show. "We need to unify and prepare ourselves for what might happen, instead of criticizing Israel for their actions because they are fighting on behalf of the free world. If Hamas wins the war against Israel, the free world will pay a price."
Mosab believes responsibility lies in the hands of the world's leaders, especially President Obama, whom he called upon make a "courageous decision" and "initiate a movement to stop Hamas."

What we failed to learn from Vietnam is:
1) You need a reason to fight a war, none existed for the US in Vietnam
2) Attempting to fight a war for others who won't is an exercise in futility, nothing else
Hamas and muslim extremists have went on the record several times to state that there will NEVER be peace so long as Israel is occupying their land. Sounds like they really want peace.

It is a somewhat Circular attitude:
Quote:
Kill them all, and let G-d sort them out. End the threat for the sake of the existence of Jews everywhere. HAMAS and its supporters must die.
Insoluble when stated that way; except that Israel is willing to live in peace, while Hamas is not. So, the obstacle is Hamas.
There's really no solution except to remove Hamas and give the authority for Palestinians to rule themselves back to them. As it is, Hamas has usurped all authority and the "Palestinian Authority" is in name only.
Well Hamas wants to end Israel because they accuse them of stealing their holy land and vow to fight them till they vacate which will be never.
Israel wants to end Hamas because Hamas has vowed to fight and kill as many Israelis as they can.
