"The Administration has indicated that it plans to use taxpayer funds to compensate
insurers through the Risk Corridor program if insurers systematically lose enough money
on these plans. In total, the insurers and co-ops surveyed by the Committee expect net
payments through the Risk Corridor program of about $725 million in the 2014 plan year.
Since these companies represent about 80 percent of individuals enrolled in exchange
plans, the total taxpayer bailout expected by insurance companies likely approaches $1
billion this year alone."
...gee, I wonder if that had anything to do with the midterms coming up in November and the fact they were getting hammered about rate spikes last year.
...they just kicked the can down the road and are going to use taxpayer funds to hold the insurance companies harmless.
I THOUGHT THEY SAID THIS WAS COST NEUTRAL AND WOULD PAY FOR ITSELF?????
If you want to compare costs of the ACA with other programs take a look at your favorite government programs.
Medicare=$470 Billion subsidized by taxpayers
Tricare=$50 billion subsidized by taxpayers
VA=$67 billion subsidized by taxpayers.
Total cost to taxpayers $587 billion.
Taxpayer bailout of the ACA less than $1 billion if it even happens. Republicans just approved a $17 billion bailout of the VA. Republicans dont have any problems spending $587 billion of taxpayers money but a bailout in the millions if it even happens...wow thats really something.

You're NOT following the recipe, but this is as close as I've seen from you in a while:
A pinch of Tea Party
2 scoops of Tricare
1 lb. of Medicare
3/4 oz. of VA
Mix all of these together in a bowl. Fold in 3 huge helpings of motorized scooters.
Gave you some rep Ntwrkguy for the funny post. Talk about a one trick pony I have been thinking about ignore but I never put anyone on ignore. If I ever change my mind he would be first.

I get a 456 a month subsidy for health insurance that is no fault of my own. I had insurance through my employer but since Obama gave them a exemption I was throw into the exchange. Is it my fault that Obama is a corporate prostitute and passed legislation that benefits the insurance companies and corporations? and of course you being a fascist support this, don't you kid.

That's $1billion for this year alone -somehow these things always go way up.
And what exactly does this prove? We just had to allocate $17 b additional to "fix" the VA. What's next?

Do you not realize Medicare was passed by Lyndon B. Johnson, a Democrat. It is forcibly taken out of our checks.
