No I believe in the analysis of one of the greatest academic military resources in the world in the shape of RUSI.
You are free to believe what ever fairy tales Putin makes up.
And what verifiable evidence has RUSI given to back up their claims? None.
Without such vital evidence all you've demonstrated is that RUSI serves vested political interests.
All you're doing is pitting one set of fairytales against another set of alleged fairytales.

On what basis should I, and this professor, believe the information provided by the Russian military and Russia Today?
The rhetoric of this professor falls in line with you and your ilk. Dismiss out of hand any evidence implicating the Kremlin then proceed to stitch together a wide range of confusing, garbled suppositions from questionable information provided by equally questionable sources which all lead to the same tired accusation; "False flag operation conducted by the U.S. and its allies to implicate _______ for the purpose of _________."
"Not long after this, Western forces have built up, trained and armed an ‘opposition’ in the Ukraine, to prepare a coup against the legitimate Government in Kiev."
I want to know what verifiable evidence he has for such a statement otherwise his petition is hypocritical nonsense.
A transcript of the phone call in which Nuland plots the overthrow of the former Ukraine government.
According to the R.U.S.I. document that Bamford has linked, this is what they claim:
"Whilst proof remains inconclusive, the balance of probability, underlined by radio intercepts and separatist social media postings strongly suggests that the plane was brought down by missile launched from territory currently held by rebel forces"
Those social media postings were quickly taken down after they were shown to be fabricated, with false timestamps, and after some inconsistencies were shown involving a discussion between what are alleged to be Russian intelligence services and separatists.
The alleged radio intercepts haven't been verified, and are particularly useless given the track record of the Ukrainian government (lying repeatedly, for example, regarding the recent aid convoy).
In other words we have no verifiable evidence pinning blame on the separatists. All the suspicion (the last moment diverted flight path, intelligence services confiscating all radio transcripts etc) points the other way.
