A fellow citizen (who appears to have done more with his life than most CD posters) is in the cacky. We are in a position to help. So we do. End of story.

Let's see.

There is no cure and the disease is highly contagious with a 50-90% mortality rate. It hasn't migrated to the United States yet, which is quite fortuitous. Yet, we are voluntarily bringing the virus here.

Great thinking. The morons running the country are unbelievable.

You know you are depending on a bunch of incompetent government employees to ensure that the virus does not escape - the same bunch of dolts who left a vial of small pox in a drawer or whatever. It'll never get out, it's isolated. Famous last words and the same sort of thing said about killer bees. All it takes is one tiny error, some distracted affirmative action med student or a right wing zealot intent on destroying the government to breach isolation and infect millions. These missionaries made their decision to go over there and risk their lives. They should be left over their to suffer the consequences and not be brought back here just because they are "Americans".

Gotta love the bunker/prepper mentality on this board. You guys actually think the CDC is going to let a Level 4 biohazard out in the open just like that? : smack:

What gives you such confidence in the government?

FDA found more than smallpox vials in storage room - The Washington Post

Well let's see...

This is the same CDC that contaminated themselves with anthrax.
This is the same CDC that sent the wrong bird flu to the USDA testing lab and killed all their chickens.
This is the same CDC that forgot about smallpox vials in a storage container.

Humans are not infallible. That doctor and nurse took all the precautions and yet both of them caught it.

Statists believe that the government can do no wrong EVER!

The problem is the Feds can't be trusted to deal with a ringworm outbreak at a summer day camp, let alone a crisis like Ebola. But I do agree that Ebola is a health concern that's low on the radar considering its location and contagion factor.
We should be more concerned with out southern border and stopping the diseases and illnesses coming across with the illegals flooding across.

LOL, you actually think the federal government/CDC is competent.

If anyone's been in a bunker, it's you--apparently for your entire life.
