The left leaving nothing to future generations except failure.

Inflation-adjusted federal tax revenues hit a record $2,469,178,000,000 for the first 10 months of the fiscal year this July, but the federal government still ran a $460,450,000,000 deficit during that time, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement.
Which programs do you want to cut? Defense-VA $820 billion, SS-$750 billion, Medicare-$470 billion and Medicaid for seniors..$200 billion. The programs you more than likely support cost $2 trillion dollars.

PSST! Defense-VA is NOT a program.
This is a typical response form a true leftie liberal.
Don't discuss the real ISSUES, JUST THROW OUT WILD nonsensical remarks.
How about we EVALUATE EVERY SINGLY FED PROGRAM and decide if the program is worth borrowing money to keep it going?
Have you ever read ANY of Sen.Tom Cobun's books detailing programs that do nothing of value yet we continue to fund them?
I doubt that you even know of is books.
How about we control the waste fraud and abuse in EVERY fed program?
The feds can't be out of money. They still have some working taxpayers, plus more about to be amnetized.
Makes perfect (non)sense.

I just heard about a doggie day care in New Orleans costing us $1.9 million. Wonder whose friend runs that pork project ...er...dog project.
It all adds up...a million here, two million there...an extra runway for an airport that only has two flights a week...you know the kind of stuff Congress just loves to do for their constituents back home with our money. I'm sure we could fill this thread with nothing but pork projects and if we totaled them we wouldn't have to think of cutting important programs.

Actually, not spending leaves nothing to future generations.
I wonder what our country would look like with infrastructure that was never funded? Better yet, let's cut all spending to the military. Let's cut all aid to food stamps. We'd rather have a more starving children in this country. Let's cut out social security too. They'll just die soon anyway. Let's cut veteran benefits. Forget their PTSD and health care... they are just crippled from the wars we sent them to. Let's cut all funding to public education and the department of education. We are better off as a nation of dumb people. Let's cut out the EPA. We don't need clean air and water. Our future children have figured out how to survive without food, water, air, an education, and the infrastructure. If they haven't... they'll just lift themselves up by the bootstraps and figure it out!
How much are you willing to tax people to support the growth of spending?

Just because government is collecting more in taxes to lower deficits does not mean that the programs that we are funding are effective or that they do not need to be reformed/or cut.

The growth of spending only has to be equal or less than economic growth. I would support a stabilized deficit (equal to economic growth) until the boomers retire, then a smaller deficit after that. Our economic growth trends at ~2.5% annually, so the deficit should be about 2.5% of GDP. That is roughly $400-$450 billion.

This is called Deficit Derangement Disorder. Conservatives have no idea what is or isn't effective; they just want to hold their breath, make cuts (just tax cuts really) and see what happens.
Since you say Defense IS NOT a program are you suggesting Defense waste, fraud, and abuse get a pass?
He also believes building expensive planes that the Russians and Chinese already have the technology to shoot out of the sky like the 400 billion dollar and counting F-35 should get a pass too!! Not to mention the billions of dollars spent making rocks bounce on Afgani hillsides or wasting the random wedding party in Yemen .
