Ehhhh...No.

But I'll toss you a brownie point for effort.

This guy should have been prosecuted the first time he got caught breaking the law and ripping off Medicare, and he should be brought up on fraud charges now.
I'll have to look up that case because I'm unfamiliar with it.

Thanks for the brownie point, but I am right on with this. Do some research before you dismiss comments from someone who actually knows something about it. The stand of the teas running is to get rid of the requirement for 15% alternative energy in the state among a host of other things including state subsidies for energy saving improvements. They also want to eliminate regulations calling for reduction in emissions, and fight/defy the EPA over the particulate restrictions that forced closure of coal generating capacity. They couch all this as "fighting Obama" in campaign materials. The corporation commission may seem shadowy and unimportant, but it has a profound effect on the lives of the people of Arizona. The corporation commission is all that stands between the monopolists, the capitalists, and the public. It has been the target of the teas who are receiving funding from out of state sources for a couple of cycles now. Should the teas be successful, it will be a dark day for Arizonans as it is tantamount to leaving the fox to guard the hen house.

That stuff is there to get "the base" up and barking.

the right is just taking lessons from the left.

It would depend on what Court the election for this Judge is .... IF it's the County Commissioner Court, they set the local tax rates for schools, hospital districts (the Hospital District in El Paso is many millions in debt) and the School District. The County Commissioners and County Courts are pretty powerful in Texas.

"Tired of High Taxes?" and "Fighting Obama" are both excellent examples of jinogism and empty rhetoric.

You almost have to admire the strategy at work here. Because not wanting to pay higher taxes may very well be the ONE thing that all voters can agree upon. Think about it: abortion; the death penalty; gun control....all of those issues are going to divide any given pool of voters--like those driving down the road and reading a campaign sign.
But who in the world would possibly have a problem with not paying taxes?
And even "Fighting Obama" is going to automatically foment a nodding agreement in over half of passersby (well, at least according to the latest polls). Especially in an ultra-red state like AZ.
These type of signs are all about what those in political science circles refer to as "maximizing your base."
It's just too bad that the vast majority of politicians don't maximize, but rather seem to minimize on the amount of campaign promises they end up keeping.

Progressive liberals wanting to fundamentally transform the nation. Obama is one of those.

Well, of course you're right. I know what they do.

But really, is that REALLY what they're talking about?

No. And frankly, they know damn well that "FIGHTING OBAMA" Is just a partisan load of nonsense aimed at getting attention from people that might hate Obama, but know next to nothing about politics other than that.

9/10ths of the Arizona electorate has never even heard of a corporation commission. When ballot day comes, they'll just play eenie, meenie, minee, mo on that choice...And you know it.

I mean, technically you could "fight Obama" from ANY political office from dogcatcher to senator if you just do the complete opposite of what you think Obama would do. Sure..

But these ads are just cynical b.s. in an attempt to dupe people into voting for them. Granted, Obama is unpopular enough to use as an election strategy, but it'd really be nice if the ads weren't so fulla crap.
