Liz knows the report is damning as well, and she is just trying to get out ahead of it and deflect as much attention away from Daddy as possible. Her problem is that most people regard her to be no less despicable than her old man, so it ain't gonna work.
"The fact that the previous administration used torture is no longer in dispute," Really?

Maybe to only those that ignore the facts.

To suggest otherwise as ridiculous as Ms Cheney's statements.
The Geneva Convention is between NATIONS. If a nation does NOT sign it, then the other party is NOT obliged to follow it.

We KNOW the terrorist certainly didn't/don't.

Not me. Torture is a line civilized countries don't cross. Effin' Jack Bauer.
"Not me" And herein lies the whole point.

Some are NOT for it and others are.

Liz Cheney: ‘Despicable’ Obama slanders ‘patriots’ when he admits to post-9/11 torture

Isn't it sweet how she defends her Daddy's use of torture so enthusiastically? (There definitely is something "despicable" here, Liz. Look in a mirror for a clue of what that might be.)

And talk about hypocrisy. She goes on a tirade, accusing the president of making those comments to "change the subject" from other things happening in the country, when, in fact, Obama was responding to the U.S. Senate report that is about to be released wherein the use of torture is not disputed. And she was a guest on the show to discuss that very report.

Talk about trying to change the subject--she did that very well, steering the conversation away from the disastrous report on her father's regime's use of torture as fast as her despicable little mouth could manage it.
What do you expect. She grew up giggling to her fathers torture stories. Instead of being grateful her father was not thrown to prison for his crimes, she attacks others for even talking about them.

Remember the fanfare the MSM greeted the DOJ with when they opened their investigation? They were jubilant. Remember when Holder announced he was closing his investigations? No? No surprise, there was barely a peep from the MSM. The first leaks went out on the Friday night news dump and Holder made it official on Monday. We segued into the July 4 weekend and that was it.

Why didn't he use his executive powers to block the release of any information admitting our interrogation techniques? He loves to use those I know.

A real President would have blocked that information for 150 years sealed and stated that he fully supports the efforts of the intelligence services and thanks them for their service. And then worked behind the scenes to modify the techniques if he is against them.

Um, Bush admitted to us using torture in his book. I'd say if the President of that Administration publicly admits to using torture, it's really not in dispute.

Default Who cares?

Liz Cheney's perspective and opinion is no more relevant or newsworthy than that of Sarah Palin. She has no more business commenting on politics and what the great President Obama stands for than Charles Manson.

Because Obama believes that playing loud music and waterboarding is a human rights violation, while killing them and all around them with a drone is better
