We have many ideas, including limiting malpractice suits which are a major source of cost in the medical industry.
Medical malpractice is the 3rd leading cause of death in America, just behind heart disease and cancer. Without those lawsuits doctors would not care about providing the best medical service, and they would be able to cause your family members death and not even be punished.

The medical lawsuits are just a way for republicans to get closer to what they really want, and that is to end class action lawsuits, because they allow regular Americans to sue large corporations.

And now this college campus gem from a Democrat on the US Civil Rights Commission who used to be a former advisor to Nancy Pelosi:

"The civil rights commissioner said he favors outlawing speech that would be grossly unpopular, such as 'a slave auction at a fraternity engagement' or a celebration of Latino culture that involves 'making everyone dress as janitors and mop floors.' Yaki also wants to turn Miss America-type pageants into campus speech crimes. He expressed his belief in the unacceptable dangers of 'a situation involving women' in which they “parade around in skimpy clothing and turn in some show or something.'”

I guess he hasn't seen any YouTube videos of Spring break. When are you going to tell these people to get off your back? It's especially discouraging to see some of these overaged former hippies that run universities/colleges and teach in them trying to control you. When they were your age, they would have squawked plenty if this was pushed on them.

You can whine about moot points, but schools are already open-air prisons. What difference does a lunch menu make when schools suppress free thought and teach unworthy things? As far as I know, Republicans & conservatives don't have a plan to fix the fundamental problems with schools, either.

Any for every one suit that does have standing what about the 9 others that dont?

What about people who just like to sue as a income source?

Why not get the trial lawyers out of operation room?

Yeah they do that without Congressional approval..Are you ok with that?

Ted Cruz, Dave Brat, Mile Lee, to name a few.

Also spree me the lower wage for the poor bit..No one supports that and it strictly up to the business owner..You want to make more money? Get a skill...Or go to North Dakota. Workers at Wal Mart make $18 an hour starting.

Hey what better why to flood the zone with capital and incentive to invest in that city?

Also that is total lie about "more pollution and lower wages"..But hey keep using emotions.

The Bible says to help the poor (but republicans are against welfare, high min wages, and tax credits for low income workers.)

The Bible says to heal the sick (but republicans are against healthcare for all.)

The Bible says to love everyone (but republicans hate liberals, homosexuals, South America immigrants, and poor black people on welfare.)

Jesus told us to avoid war (and republicans love war, and they want a large and aggressive military.)

The Bible told us the camel parable (and the republicans want to make the rich richer.)

The only Christian thing republicans do is to oppose abortion, but that's only to suck in gullible Christian voters to vote republican (so they vote for tax cuts for corporations and corporate deregulation.)

If republicans based laws off the Bible, I would vote for them every time.

Chad.

Oh please stop generalizing!

Not all republicans are religious
Not all republicans believe in a religion
Not all republicans are Christian

Please do not show me bull crap from a biased new source that "points out" how most republicans are "Christians"

I have meet a ton of atheist who are republicans, and these people are really the open-minded individuals who actually tolerate religious views of others...

This is almost as bad as the "all republicans are white rich business men..." yet according to people like you "all republican states are welfare states"

In short, you should be looking at yourself in asking questions and wonder why you're handing such a big debt to younger people instead of worrying about one person's opinion at a very small college campus.

The reason why old conservatives like myself do the things we do is because were understand that life was once much easier and present policies are doing nothing to improve life for the next generation.

When I was sixteen, I went to work for a siding contractor making $4.00/hr.

That doesn't seem like much today, but when adjusted for inflation, it's over sixteen dollars per hour.

Where can a teen get a job earning sixteen dollars per hour today?

You're worried about who gets a tax cut when free trade with Mexico and China and illegal immigration drives down your wages and the current near-zero fed funds rate makes what you earn worth less and less every day.

Our sky-high marginal corporate tax rates and built in regulatory costs make doing business in the US a non-starter and those international companies that do business here typically manipulate their operations in such a way that profits are realized in low-tax nations while little or no tax revenue comes to the US.

Check out Opensecrets.org and find out who owns your favorite politicians.

Things are not always as they appear.

Unfortunately, young people today don't know what things were like in decades past when a dollar had significant buying power, consumption drove the economy and ordinary people lived well.
