Why can't people see past skin color and ethnicity and see the person inside?
People at the gathering said the new school, which is the first southwest Fresno middle school in decades, needs teachers who reflect the ethnic and racial background of its students.
This makes me a bit sick. To think that these people are our educators, and yet they are so shallow they cannot see that segregating students along racial and ethnic lines, while thinking this will teach them to ignore race and ethnicity is not only harmful, it's completely contradictory.
These people are not educators. They're in fact railing against the actual educators who hired the best teacher for the job, not the one of the crackpots' preferred color.
We now have 2 threads on this. Was it on Rush or Beck?
An impressive gathering of six people, led by a crackpot. Yawn.
I have assumed replying back and forth in the other thread you were a reasoned person. Based on your response here with it's dismissive tone, it would appear you are nothing more than a partisan.
I had not heard about this story until reading it here. I just wonder why you do not object to the fact that a teacher is being potentially removed from their position based on complaints about their race
You and I both know that if whites were out complaining that certain classes should not be taught by blacks or other minorities, the liberal media would be having a field day with it. So if it is wrong on the one hand, how can it not be blatant hypocrisy for liberals to be objecting to it when a white person is involved

Lots of crack pots, the local head of the NAACP in my area is always calling for more black teachers. He never mentions qualifications though. White, black or purple the most qualified person should be hired. People like that making complaints based solely on race are only further dividing this country.
It's time to take the gloves off and start calling them on it in particular the media. If this was a white standing up there and said:
Quote:
"We're just saying what the community wants. We didn't fight for a black male or female teacher to educate our babies,"
They would immediately be denounced as being racist and rightly so. That's direct quote from the article except I changed white to black.
