Russia doesn't need to invade. Ukraine is falling apart and I don't know why Russia would even want it. Now that Russia has it's port it doesn't care much for Ukraine. But who knows if Putin will want to take it for his own ego though.

I'd agree but; take away Russia's nukes and that country would go down and down HARD if it had to fight just Germany in 2008 and, there are many other countries like France that'd step up and help out Germany. Too; there'd be the thing called "Poland" in the way and so on.

Why is it that when Russia states a "humanitarian mission" it is not to be believed, but when the
US does it, it is. IMO, at least Russia does not go half way around the world to invade like we do.

Russia was our ally in World War II. They are not interested in becoming the next "Hitler regime".
Take away anyone's nukes and military might, and I'm thinking the only real winner would be China -
simply by human force alone.

Two people have made that wrong assumption before; Napoleon and Hitler, neither turned out well after this mistake.

You mean bombing the f%^k out of Serbia was not peacekeeping? "Liberating" Iraq (love the Operation Iraqi Freedom name) was not peacekeeping? Invading Grenada was not peacekeeping?

East Ukraine was gifted to the Ukrainian SSR in order to bring Ukraine up to speed regarding economics, as Ukraine itself was a leech on the Soviet Union (along with central Asia).
True.

Ukraine was never together, not ever since its independence. The only thing all of them ever agreed on was independence from the USSR, after that, it has been a very divided country on every issue. Main issue is that non-Ukrainians and Ukrainians that are not nationalist do not like the nationalists, and the economic east hates for their taxes going to support the very unproductive west. And west Ukrainians are not even Ukrainian at all ethnically except for the few who migrated there post WW2, even though they all claim so, and are the source of the ultra-nationalism.

To say Ukrainians are the same is like saying all white people in the US are the same, not even close to being true on any level.

Russia fell apart during WW 1 and Germany "owned" it for a year or 2. WW 2: word was Hitler kept switching his troops from battle to battle. He had Russia by the throat and back off.

China's time's slipping away; it's working age pop has dropped the last 2 years, it had more workers in 2011 than the later years. Kinda like Japan of 1990; China's pretty much screwed IMHO.
