Since George W. Bush is nearing the end of his term, what do you think his legacy will be, as President of the United States of America?

Name the bad things he's done (obvious) and I'd also be interested to hear from anyone who can list some of the positive things he's achieved during his presidency (can't think of any myself).

Do you think that George Bush is the worst president in US history?

He certainly stood for what he believed in.. I just don't believe in what he believed in.

No, and this has been discussed before. Jimmy Carter earns this honor.

This has been previously discussed, and I think it is about 10-20 years too early to rate him as a president.

Roberts and Alito will certainly have made their mark on the Court by then.

Just a wild guess, but I would bet that there have been at least 15-20 presidents that those who were living during their presidency felt they were the worst ever. Bush will be thought of as such for a while by a lot of people. I don't think he is. He's done a lot of things I don't like, but I don't think he's the worst.

I voted for him in 2000, did not in 2004.

In my opinion, as unbiased as it can be- drawing on every objective bone in my body- as best I can figure, he will go down as one of the 10 worst presidents ever.

His legacy is a compounded series of epic errors and decision making so poor that it borders on being laughable (if the consequences weren't so tragic), a terrible policy both foreign and domestic not to mention serious, serious ethical questions. However anyone can still support him after what he's done, I will never know, but I guess it goes to what Heinlein said:

"Man is not a rational animal; he is a rationalizing animal"

I think he'll be one of those presidents that when people learn or hear about him, all they hear about is the mistakes and errors he made.
