Definitely controversial and I haven't seen a thread on the subject yet.
Russia, who has had tense relations with the US, projected a racist, degrading image of Obama on the U.S. Embassy on his birthday. The same day, a banner went up projecting Obama as the 3 monkeys from the tale, "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil"
Relations between the U.S. and Russia still seem tense.

Actually, the banner says "I don't see, I don't hear, I never tell the truth"
Come on now. In comparable historic eras, Russia had its own version of slavery - serfdom - which may not have degraded quite to the humans-as-property level, but damn close. And emancipation (although nowhere close to the citizen level at least formally achived in the US) came at about the same time - 1861.
Russia's form of slavery was slavery. Serfs were serfs, but none of the slaves or serfs were imported from across the globe or even imported at all. The slaves were Russian (why do you think we are called Slavics?), but were granted serfdom and then were granted citizenship. The USA on the other hand imported slaves, subsequently freed them, gave them citizenship, but did not give them full rights until 1964.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Russia had all of that.

Total ignorance. Russia was industrially developed country in 19th century.
Learn history from a reliable textbooks.
Bush actually looks like a monkey in that picture.
It is well known that the word monkey has been a racial slur when used against Blacks.
That is the difference, as you well know.
Yeah, the difference is racist democrats can dish it out but they can't take it.
Gutless cowards hiding under the affirmative action excuse for their inferior performance.

Our state department is run by the finest career bureaucrats affirmative action can promote.
Every honest person in the entire world recognizes the fact that Obama can't compete against real leaders, whether they are our allies or our enemies, and that line is blurring fast.
Even monkeys are insulted by this comparison to Obama.
This is like a rorscharch test for Bots who see racism everywhere.
