They recognize the threat, but many here do not -- yet -- even though we have a huge open border to the south.

Estimates in Britain are that there are at last 500 home-grown jihadists in ISIS, and that half of them have come back to England after training. Other estimates say that there are far more than that, as many as 2000 that have joined ISIS.

Khalid Mahmood, Labour MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, told Channel 4 News the lack of border controls meant the Government’s estimates of jihadi numbers were too low. ‘I think it’s about 2,000 people,’ he added.

British newspapers devoted page after page to exploring the scale of British terrorist recruitment, the danger that the terrorists will come home, and clear warnings from the security forces that they will be overwhelmed if they come home in an organized manner.

Something profound is happening when a vicious, radical movement can recruit that many young men from a society that was housing, feeding and educating them. This represents a repudiation of the idea of assimilation on a scale and intensity that will lead to profound public policy changes.

Can Obama handle ISIS? (Opinion) - CNN.com

I hear you loud and clear. The talking heads coming from the mouths of these Monsters, I have been hearing and seeing them all week on tv, and no not on Fox, sorry to disappoint.

You would have to be disconnected from reality, to truly believe these barbaric people will not try something on a huge scale with us again. How unrealistic.

They will try and try, until they do succeed, because they have it out for us. British are not the ignorant ones in this manner.

The world definitely has changed, and not for the better. At least the British understand the scope of this problem.

Obama will likely be the one raising the flag.

That was so 2 weeks ago. Many posters claimed the refugee immigrant kids were infected with the virus and we'd all be dead in a matter of a few weeks or months.

Why not?
Anyone else can.
Could every international inbound flight be carrying a terrorist ? It's not like one's passport is stamped terrorist. It's not like all terrorists are young, swarthy , middle eastern men in need of a shave carrying big swords.

The US has become weak, not because of Obama, but because of modern day Americans who are more interested in social media and American Idol. When GW Bush took away the rights of every American via the Patriot Act did they complain? Not at all. When the news media exposed the NSA and other federal agencies using websites like Facebook to gather personal information no one raised and eyebrow. A good American is beheaded and the video is made available on the web for all to see where was the outrage?
As long as the average American has their iPhone, FB, and reality TV any group will be able to do whatever they choose with little to no resistance.

As for ISIS, it is not like the world doesn't know better. If they don't all they do is look to the history of the Nazi's. The Nazi's started small and few wanted to get involved by the the time it was done almost all were involved and millions of people were dead.
The people of the world need to face up to reality and come together to eliminate ISIS and any group like it. If they don't then the US has no choice to go it alone. If we don't take the fight to ISIS sooner or later we will pay a much higher price with the loss of a major metropolitan area.
Secondly, when we, the US, allows a group like ISIS to murder Americans then we encourage other groups to do the same. The US needs to attack swiftly and thoroughly to eliminate every piece of this perverted cancer called ISIS.

Turn the military loose on the terrorists and let them kill them as quickly and efficiently as possible without interference from politicians.

I think it's really funny that a lot of white people think that Middle Eastern terrorists can blend into the Mexican population and sneak across the southern border. Newsflash: Maybe you can't tell a Mexican from a Syrian, but a Mexican can.

The Canadian Border is much more vulnerable than the Mexican border.

You obviously have little understanding of the geography and climate in places like northern Iran. Nor apparently much understanding about where in the United States Muslims already live.
Maybe you are wise to "not think."
