They are no different than the Nazis reference to Jews and need to be eliminated from this earth. We hung anyone who murdered Jews after WWII. Obama needs to stepup.We already know from Bosnia that Europe is unlikely to act.
The US as it is currently governed would not win, because it lacks the sheer guts to do what is necessary to actually win. That means a scorched earth policy, including the execution of the mullahs advocating for Islamists. It would mean overthrowing the Saudi government as it supports the Islamist extremists. Same with Qatar, Yemen, etc.
Total depopulation of some areas.
The reason is that we are fighting a religious belief system, not a political system. And our government seems incapable of admitting this.
The only way to win is through TOTAL WAR. And the US won't take this step. At least not yet.
It's not our place to do ANY of those things.
The United States has no business fighting a total war in the Middle East.

Help with your natural disasters, help with your stranded passengers after a terrorist attack, help you get your Apollo astronauts back down to earth, and last but not least......help you rescue hostages in the Middle East. If it wasn't for the incredible bravery of Canadians, those American hostages in Iran would have been killed.

A part of me says we should not get involved. Seeing pictures of innocent babies and small children murdered, gets to the soul of a Parent. It is sickening, and disgusting, that a people could do this, and not shed a tear. These are people who have no soul, are pure evil thru and thru. The human part of me, wants to scream, and wants it all to stop. Innocent people should not have to endure what these people are anywhere in this world.
I will tell you this, seeing those pictures of innocent kids being slaughtered, and heads cut off, gets to the core of a person and who they are, if they do not care., what is wrong with them. I do not trust those people as far as I could throw their azz, they are not done with us either. Mark my words.
I am a 911 survivor...am a 25 year army veteran, with combat tours in Panama, Desert storm, Bosnia, 3 tours in Iraq, and one in Afghanistan....and am CURRENLTLY in Afghanistan as a army civilian transportation consultant for redeploying troops and equipment back to the usa...... be there done that, have the t-shirt......what have you done for your country???

Haven't your brothers and sisters sacrificed enough for the sake of the people in the Middle East? How long do you want to keep fighting and dying to protect them?
This seems to be the whole point that supporters of the U.S. going back in seem to be missing....even if we went back in we'd accomplish nothing. We can't defeat ISIS no matter what we do. Our multi-hundred billion dollar defense budgets are useless in this matter.

assad should be fully backed by the west in order to defeat ISIS
Many believe that the Assad regime has cynically used ISIS to help fight the other less militant Syrian rebel groups(who've been decimated by ISIS). And it sort of helps him turn the tide of outside opinion in his favor--no one wants to support any Syrian rebels with the outrage over what ISIS is doing.

Why not go after ISIS?? Sure, we can defeat them. This is supposed to be America, the world's most powerful nation. We'd better go after them. Meanwhile, leftist defeatists would rather we lose in Iraq while their so-called "leader" plays another 9 holes.
