If brown would have just not grabbed for the gun. If it is fact then the cop felt that his life was in danger and that is legally justifiable in the court of law. Color doesn't matter.
It's difficult to grab a gun if your hands are in the air and it's difficult to claim self defense if you shoot someone in the back, multiple times.
I agree with you. Cops have a hard job and normally I respect them, but there have been too many incidents like this for me to just automatically believe them when they claim the guy tried to go for his sidearm. Cops know exactly what to say happened in order to get exonerated, and they stick together like no other profession I know. I think many of them are too quick to go for the gun. They seem jumpy and feel their job entitles them to do whatever it takes to protect themselves, even when it's completely unnecessary.
Look at all the unarmed people shot, the family dogs (some even in their own backyard), the kid opening his door with a game controller in his hand, etc. I know the chances of cops being killed by citizens far outweighs the chances of innocent citizens being killed by cops, but these are people's (and animals') lives at stake here! They need better training, and punishment and removal for the ones who do stuff like this.
Yep, it's mostly the punishment and removal process that needs to be improved. You can't do anything to a cop and unless you have proof nobody is going to believe you. Even when you can prove the cop broke the law they just get placed on administrative leave.

lol, so you are saying two wrongs make it right. Theft and destruction by any group for any reason is stupidity and ignorance and illegal.
No one is trying to justify that. I think what is going on is this. There is a rationale going on that basically says "Blacks are rioting because they are Black and that's what Blacks do". If that is the case, then what was the reason for White people rioting?
This did not happen in St Louis proper - it was in Ferguson, a North County suburb. Looting, burning, shots fired.

A very stupid reason to riot. No injustice took place. I'm not saying that this current riot should be taking place at all. I'm saying this: If the reason for rioting in Ferguson,MO is stupid, this is even more stupid, as no one was shot by the police or anything. A hockey team lost. Big deal.
Exactly, both instance is stupidity. Nothing justifies riots, damaging other peoples property and stealing.
There is no justification in harming innocent folks that had nothing to do with the situation. Whether you're black, white, green, or from the planet Jupiter! NONE!!!
