Says who? If the police are ordering citizens, press or not, to leave an area, you LEAVE. Period. The arrested "reporters" were asked REPEATEDLY to leave and they argued and delayed. A citizen cannot do that and expect to not be REMOVED.
Your fireman analogy is ridiculous by the way. Comparing a reporter to a firefighter? Seriously?
If there is no threat of imminent danger, why should they leave?
People sitting in a McDonald's, minding their own business and the police barge in and tell them to leave. No reason given, nothing.

This is about a person being executed in the street for no reason.
WE DON'T KNOW THAT FOR SURE. Let the legal process work and if THAT is determined then the officer in question should face the consequences. If he doesn't, THEN we should see protests.
You and many others are assuming way too much. Sure, there are witnesses claiming things but until the outcome is determined it's too early to lynch the guy like so many want to do.

Yeah, let to organization that murdered the kid investigate itself and let us know...
There is no way the cop acted appropriately. We already know that because the teen:
-- did not instigate the event
-- was not in the process of committing a felony or a crime when the cop first approached
-- was unarmed
-- was shot in the back
-- was trying to flee not approach
-- was no danger to the officer at a distance of 35 feet
Even if the teen tried to take the cop's gun (which I doubt), that doesn't justify the cop continuing to shoot him after the teen retreated, shoot him in the back and at a distance of 35 feet when the teen had his hands up.
I agree with you because this is what several eyewitnesses have said. This kid was standing several feet away from the officer when he was shot. He was dead on the pavement with no firearm. It doesn't matter if there was a previous scuffle with the LEO.....he was shot while unarmed and hands in the air.
I have to believe the story provided by the several witnesses is true because.........if it wasn't; the police would surely have come out immediately with the officers explanation. They would have had a response to the witnesses story in order to repudiate it if the story was false. Instead we get " it will take several weeks to complete the investigation" I say BS! It will take several weeks to come up with anything they can to mitigate the officers negligence and poor decision to shoot Mike Brown
Are these in fact wide-scale riots? Of course it doesn't take many to cause a lot of damage.
We haven't seen riots for a while in the US (note there were none after the zimmerman trial). I assumed americans (of all races) are just too fat, compared to decades ago, to have the energy to riot. Especially in hot weather.
Did you hear about the Presidents Day 2014 riots in Ft. Lauderdale? Unless you live in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale metropolitan area you didn't.
Fort Lauderdale Police were in riot gear as a large crowd of young blacks moved through A1A reportedly causing mayhem. “We had several reports of individuals who were reaching into vehicles, striking drivers. We have reports individuals who were jumping on top of taxicabs,” said Detective Deanna Greenlaw with Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
You don't believe a witness who was literally right there, inches away from the event. And other witnesses who were close by? They would all just instantly be able to coordinate their stories? No, the witnesses appear to be describing the events similarly, which suggests it is true.
Ok. My bad. You've convinced me.
Disclose the name of the officer and turn him loose in downtown St Louis. Let the mob decide his fate.
Morons. That's basically what you clowns are saying.
We have a justice system. Let it work. If it is determined that there is monkey business with the case, THEN there is cause for upheaval. Until that time....Go home. Or....protest peacefully.
But if you mess with a bull, you will get the horns. which is exactly what is happening. No one with a brain cannot expect law enforcement to protect property and citizens from a mob.
Too many of you, particularly the media, just provoke and prod and instigate the low information people to do what they are doing. Then, when the dust is settled, you and the media go back to YOUR homes and don't have to deal with the destruction that you helped to provoke and cause.
You would think that being black we want others to see us in a better light. And then this continues to happen and yet it only makes it harder on those of us that are not into this type of behavior.
Sad but true we will always be seen as animals/savages until we change our way of thinking, change our attitude change our behavior.
These kids/young adultsh are hurts souls that in my personal opinion need guidance to do better to be better in society.
